Jack and I first met through a mutual friend, Edward Good—fondly known as E Good. After graduating from Auburn in 2016, E Good and I both moved to Dallas, where we became close friends while adjusting to a new city. E Good grew up with Jack in Memphis, so I met Jack a few times over the years.
In the summer of 2021, fate brought us together again. Jack’s sister, Olivia, had just moved a few doors down from me, and one day, we all ended up at the apartment complex pool. Jack and I struck up a conversation. By the end of the day, the group of us—including Olivia and her new boyfriend, Tim—decided to continue the fun with a sushi dinner at Oishii and drinks at Bowen House.
That evening marked a turning point, though neither of us realized it just yet. Jack reached out the next day, nervously asking me on an official date to Griggs Park with my dog, Miss Luna. That first date turned into an evening of cooking dinner together, and the rest is history.
Over three years later, on November 24, 2024, Jack brought me back to Griggs Park—the place where it all began—and asked me to marry him.
